HELP VILLAGERS FROM SHYABRUBESI IN NEPAL TO RECOVER
AFTER THE TERRIBLE EARTHQUAKE HIT NEPAL IN MAY 2015!
We are raising funds to help the villagers of Old Shyabrubesi to recover from the tragic situation!
The village called Shyabrubesi does not exist anymore.
All houses were destroyed during the earthquake that hit Nepal on the 25th of April 2015.
Shyabrubesi is situated in one of the most affected areas of the earthquake.

We have been a part of their community since 2013. Working with local people, Martushka Fromeast, stayed in the village for 5 months – creating intimated photo stories on the spiritual life of the people in Shyabrubesi ( Story of Gosaikunda, I am not scared of the night, Se Bompo, Se Se )
Many of our friends were injured during the earthquake on 25th of April. Due to lack of support so far, at least five people have died and we don’t know how many more may die in following days. We are getting desperate phone calls from them, begging for help. All the houses have been destroyed and people have been living in open spaces to avoid landslides. We are putting pressure on different local agencies to deliver immediate help but this is hopeless.
We have friends there with whom we were laughing, joking, gossiping, playing cards and sharing their worries. These people always treated us like family. We have an obligation to help them. We need your support to be able to help them now! Otherwise they will die there!

Most of the international aid is getting to Kathmandu first.
More remote areas receive it much later. Sometimes too late! People from Shyabrubesi need our help right now!
We have grown to admire its people and structure.
We are keeping in touch with them at this moment.
We know exactly what they need!
